Hiding in one corner in one of the well-known spots for food tripping in the south of Manila is a third wave cafe offering great coffee and lounge spots. You might have heard of this place since it began appearing a lot in social media along with other artsy cafes. For Southerners looking for some place to hang out, the Magnum Opus Fine Coffee might just be the one.
Located at the 2nd floor of The Prime building in Aguirre, Magnum Opus sits unassumingly as if it's a tiny hideout in the city. It's not that big a cafe though but surely it's big enough for you and your friends ;)
Their outside veranda has wooden seats and tables for the customers. This serves as the smoking area of the cafe.
The interiors are filled with wooden furniture, the tables, chairs, shelves, and even the bar. And the staff are all friendly and warm.
Their signature drink, the Belgian Heartbreaker was really good! Sadly, the serving was too small for me but then again, I really liked it so I am declaring this as one of my favorite drinks.
My friend had her fill of sweets with her plate of Sticky Date.
I ordered their Sandwich #115, it tasted good but quite not enough for my huge appetite. It costs a bit much but look how cute they prepared my sandwich.
Check out their drinks! They can make your coffee the way you want it made, whether by pour-over, siphon, french press, etc.
The staff played their interesting sense of humor with their jars ;)
Did I mention, the owner and the staff are fans of Doctor Who? :D
The restroom's door made my friend very happy that day. She said it's kind of a bit insulting because it's a restroom door but it's still the TARDIS so she's happy about it.
If you want to visit a unique coffee place within the city, one that is not too crowded, and one that gives out a relaxing vibe, I highly recommend Magnum Opus cafe for you and your friends.

Wow the view on the top is just so amazing. the fine coffee is great. this is simple but a place must visit.
